Tail Wheel Endorsement

To act as PIC of tailwheel aircraft a person needs to receive flight training and be able to demonstrate proficiency in tailwheel aircraft.  The flight training includes normal takeoff and landings, wheel landings and go arounds.  There are no minimum training time requirements.  Most people can achieve proficiency with 5 - 10 hours of training.  The approximate cost for the one-time endorsement is $900 - $1800.

High Performance Endorsement

To act as PIC of a high-performance airplane (greater than 200 HP) a person needs to receive and log ground and flight training on the operation of high-performance airplanes.  There are no minimum training time requirements.  Once proficiency is demonstrated in the operation of a high-performance airplane a one-time endorsement is given.  Most people can acquire proficiency in 2 - 3 hours of training.  The approximate cost is $500 - $750.

Complex Endorsement

To act as PIC of a complex airplane (has retractable gear, constant speed propeller, and flaps) a person needs to receive and log ground and flight training in a complex airplane.  Once proficiency is demonstrated a one-time endorsement is given.  Most individuals can receive the endorsement within 5 hours of training.  Approximate cost $1250
