Adding the Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) to an existing CFI certificate allows the instructor to provide training for the Instrument Rating.
Following are the minimum requirements:
Demonstrate instructional instrument proficiency for both ground and flight lessons |
Need not pass an additional knowledge test |
Pass the required practical test |
There are no minimum hour requirements, except for the standard 3 hours of instruction received within the last 2 calendar months prior to the practical test.
